Rooms

In order to provide the right care and development for children 3 months and upwards, each nursery is split into different groups. This enables us to focus on a particular age group in order to tailor activities specifically for their needs/development.

Each group requires different levels of input and skills from the nursery nurses – it is therefore important that the staff within each group are aware of what is needed and expected from you as parents and more importantly, what is expected from your child.

Baby and Toddler GroupsĀ 0-2 Years

Child wearing a fancy hatWe believe it is important for you as parents to feel comfortable within the nursery and for you to get to know the staff that will be looking after your little ones. For small babies, we would ask that you make several visits to the nursery prior to leaving your baby, so that everyone is familiar with the new faces and environment.

The baby and toddler rooms are equipped with all the necessary items that you would expect to see – cots, high chairs, play mats, baby swings, toys, rattles, mobiles – as well as bright colours, warmth and most importantly, specially trained and dedicated staff. All babies need comfort and love, which is provided in stimulating surroundings and by the calm and caring presence of staff.

Our aim in the baby and toddler rooms is to establish a good relationship with the child and to ensure your daily routine and wishes are carried out as thoroughly as possible.

All babies’ day-to-day routines and developments are recorded in their own special diary by staff.

Main Nursery 2-3 Years

Pre-School 3-5 Years

By now your child is ready for more complicated tasks and is more adventurous. Our pre-school unit offers your child an opportunity to develop their learning ability and skills. Our staff provide a relevant curriculum for young children leading to the six learning areas covered by the approved Early Learning Goals.

  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • PRSN (Problem Solving, Reasoning & Numeracy)
  • Creative Activities
  • Physical Development
  • Knowledge & Understanding of the World
  • Personal Social & Emotional Development

Your child will be encouraged to make decisions regarding their own activities and projects through a variety of equipment and learning aids. This will assist in promoting and developing individuality, self-confidence and personality.
