Nursery facilities at Honeybuns, Stafford
Honeybuns at Stafford accommodates up to 59 children and is managed by Stephanie.
In 2011, the nursery underwent extensive refurbishment works to the outside of the building, which included modernisation work and a brand new secure entrance to the nursery. In 2012, the renovation works will continue with a new reception area, nursery office, indoor buggy park and baby sleep room.
There are 10 main nursery rooms at Stafford, plus a computer suite and a brand new sensory room. The children are also able to participate in French lessons and Leaps & Bounds physical activity sessions which are run by external companies.
The nursery has two enclosed outdoor play areas, one of which has been refurbished with all weather ‘play turf™’. The second garden features Astroturf grass so the children can enjoy both secure play areas all year round.
The nursery has an onsite kitchen with a fully qualified chef to cook fresh, nutritious and delicious meals. The chef is also experienced in catering for children with specific dietary requirements.
Stafford Nursery has an overall ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted and a 4 star Scores on the Doors hygiene award from Stafford Borough Council Environmental Health.
In 2011, Stafford Nursery was awarded the prestigious Gold Nurturing Health award by Live Well, Be Well in Staffordshire. Honeybuns are one of only 4 nurseries in Staffordshire to have achieved this award and in November 2011 Stephanie the Nursery Manager and Alison the Director of Care for the Group, met the Mayor of Stafford, who presented them with the award.
