The Honeybuns Big Walk for Tiny Lives

Honeybuns Nursery are once again supporting their charity partner, Action Medical Research by organising ‘The Honeybuns Big Walk for Tiny Lives’ on Saturday 21st April to help raise much needed funds for Action Medical Research. All three nurseries; Telford, Norton Canes and Stafford will be involved. Wellies and Paddington ™ Mask’s a must!

Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. They fund a broad range of cutting-edge medical research most likely to deliver real benefit to babies, children and young people. With the help of supporters, Action raises funds to make vital research possible.

Nursery Group Owner, Anthony Reeley says “We decided we wanted a fun and relaxed outdoor event which enabled all ages from 0-99 to join us! It’s a fabulous way to bring our children, families and staff together to enjoy a fun filled family day out. We hope to raise much needed funds to ensure continued funding for research into conditions that severely affect children.”

Families and friends can join us on Saturday 21st April at the locations under:

Telford Nursery – Apley Woods (Car Park on Apley Castle), Telford
Stafford Nursery – Stafford Castle, Stafford

Celebrating London to Paris fundraising

Team Honeybuns were recently treated to a celebration evening hosted by Action Medical Research. Raising over £12,000 for their London to Paris bike ride, the evening was a wonderful way to remember the ups and downs of their journey and celebrate with their fellow bikers. A fantastic achievement, well done!

From Pen Licences to ‘Star of the Week’

Our ‘Class of 2017’ are really doing us proud! From one little ‘Honeybuns’ boy being the first person in his class to get a pen licence to another ‘Honeybuns’ boy getting ‘Star of the Week’ for being a wonderful role model and so helpful…plus we’ve been privileged to see on our Facebook page lots of happy faces at school.

Thank you for all the wonderful feedback over the last month from your school starters; our team really appreciate hearing from you.

As a small nursery group, word of mouth and online reviews are really important to us. They not only provide us with information to continuously improve, but they also help us to promote Honeybuns to other parents.
So, if you have a spare moment to provide an online review on daynurseries.co.uk, we would be extremely grateful.

Stafford rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted

We’re delighted to announce the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection at Stafford. Rated an overall judgement of ‘Good‘, the key findings are below:

  • Management ensure that staff regularly observe children during their planned and spontaneous play times. Staff identify and plan for all children’s next steps in their learning. This helps to ensure that any gaps in children’s learning are swiftly closed. All children make good progress and develop the skills they need for the next phase of their learning.
  • Staff are warm, caring and responsive to children’s immediate needs. They use meaningful praise, are positive role models and help children to learn about rules and boundaries of behaviour.
  • Children demonstrate close emotional attachments with the staff. They develop strong friendships with one another and demonstrate empathy as they show care, take turns and share the resources well. Outcomes for children are good.
  • Staff build positive relationships with other providers and schools. This helps to ensure a shared approach for all children’s care and learning throughout the nursery. This also promotes children’s readiness for the next phase in their learning and their eventual move to school.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the parents who took the time to speak to Ofsted on the day of the inspection. Thank you for your continued support.
