Honeybuns receives £500 cash boost from Taylor Wimpey

Children in Norton Canes are reaping the benefits of brand new play equipment after leading local housebuilder Taylor Wimpey Midlands donated £500 to Honeybuns Day Nursery!

The developer – which is currently building high-quality new homes at its Chasewater Grange development in the village – kindly offered to fund tricycles, gyrate swing cars and other equipment for the children to enjoy outdoors.

Anthony Reeley, Owner of Honeybuns Day Nursery says: “Taylor Wimpey got in touch with us to see if we had any projects or upcoming charity events that they could help with.

“It was a very pleasant surprise when they said they would give us £500 towards new outdoor play equipment!”

Honeybuns Day Nursery, which caters for youngsters up to the age of five, is currently in the process of expanding its outdoor play area, having recently purchased an additional piece of land adjacent to the existing play area.

“The children gain enormous benefits from outdoor play,” continues Anthony. “There is always a sense of excitement when they go outside and the noise level certainly goes up!

“Having this new equipment will really enrich the children’s outdoor play so we would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generosity.”

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “As a local housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes and we’re delighted that our donation will help the children at Honeybuns Day Nursery in their playtime development.”
